I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! We had so much fun spending time with family! The kids had a ball!! As you all know I have been focusing on Lifestyle Photography especially with my family and kids(and wanting to incorporate that into my business). Focusing on the little details in life, in my life, with the ones I love. I want to capture the MAGIC of everyday life. The way my children are on that given day. The little things, the little moments, that may seem small, but to them are really huge or really magical and to me (or another mom) really special. So here is how our 4th of July weekend went!
Friday night my little fellow got hurt, he fell off his bike and scraped his knees. He was so upset, not wanting a band-aid, to wanting a band-aid. To a four year old, falling off your bike is a major wreak! So what makes him better, laying on mom and dad’s bed, watching t.v., eating a Popsicle, with Blackie. Blackie was made at Build a Bear and is Carter’s sidekick as of right now!
The next morning we all got up and got ready for our day. Of course the boys were ready in a skinny minute, but it took my sweet girl some time, why, well she has discovered MAKEUP!! She loves to play in my makeup and we picked her out some light shades she could play with. So as she got ready with her sparkle sequined shirt, and her red white and blue gloves( yes, you can tell she is my child cause she is rocking those 80’s style gloves), I knew she was headed to the bathroom to put on her makeup!!
Then my sweet and wonderful husband took them out to play while I got everything,(including myself) ready. As I got ready I heard the sound of a bat hitting a ball and everyone cheering. I grabbed my camera really quick, and walked outside to see this….
and my heart was so full. The laughter was so catching, they were enjoying each other! Now you see that crazy, beautiful dog? That is the one and only Roxie. Never has been or in my eyes, never will be a dog like her. She is everyone’s dog, but we got her for Carter. She is one of our 4 dogs, and as you can see, all you see is her. Well that is because they were all watching the game inside( it’s kinda hard to play ball with 4 dogs around). Well Carter hit the ball, and everyone yelled “RUN CARTER”, when Roxie heard that, she popped open the door, and took off after him. Yep she was not going to let him play and run the bases without her. NO Sir!!
We also took pictures of the kids with their cousin since they were all together.
Well, the time had come…POOL TIME! These pictures were fun to take, and no pool time is complete without WATERMELON!
Now as the sun was setting and the kids were so excited about the fireworks. Well here are these pictures from our Firework Show!!
As you can tell, our 4th of July ended with a beautiful firework show. The kids had a blast being with each other, and we had a blast being with family. In this crazy world, when life get so busy, and the days go by so fast, it’s so nice to stop, take in the love of family and breath in the magic of childhood. Their laughter, their sense of wonder and excitement, and in those moments, those little moments, that are God’s gifts in life, you realize that it’s these moments that make our days, our lives, our memories. It’s moments, that I find myself thanking God for and praying they don’t go bye too fast. It’s these moments, theses MAGICAL moments in not only my children’s lives but in your little one’s life as well that I picked up that camera for the first time and never looked back.
